Roland convened the meeting at 11:00 a.m. in Dean¹s Conference Room in KVAC.

Dr. Rubenstein discussed and tried to clarify questions regarding the Articulation Agreements.  An Articulation Agreement Template was distributed to chairs to help with the understanding of this agreement.  The agreement is between a 2 year college and a 4 year university within the MNSCU system primarily.  The student would go from one Associate Degree to a Bachelor Degree. An AFA degree would be accepted into a BA program.  If students come in with an AFA degree it could be accepted as a minor in a program.  An AA Degree would not apply because general classes should transfer.  An articulation is from program to program; whereas a transfer is courses that would transfer into the program.

Discussion followed trying to clarify the difference between articulation and transfer agreements.  Not all programs have a chance of articulation agreements.  Programs which could have articulation are: Art, Music, and Theatre.  Administration is looking for 5 new articulation agreements in each college.  In addition, programs have many transfer agreements with different 2 year colleges.

Program inventory is being done in the Registration office.  The BS teaching degree in Theatre was mentioned.  This will be discussed in the department to see if it should come off of the books.

Bob mentioned that the university is not going to publish the Fall/Spring schedule.  The question was mentioned how would the information in the front of the schedule be accessible to the students.  Some of the information needs to be printed.  Not everyone has a computer readily available to them to look up information.

Computers older than 7 years are being replaced.  Mario will be sending out a list of computers this involves.  Questions can be forwarded to Mario.

Meeting adjourned at 11:50 a.m.
