Belen Roman-Marales

Dr.Belen Roman-Morales was born in Dorado,Puerto Rico. She earned her bachellor's degree and her master's degree from the University of Puerto Rico and her Ph.D. from Florida State University. She is specialist in Spanish-American Literature and Caribbean Literature. She has presented lectures in Puerto Rico, Mexico, Japan, South Korea, Canary Islands, and United States. She is a recongnited poet and has published two books of original poetry. She has also published several articles on Julia de Burgos' life and poetry.
